FAQ
Q: Do you have a physical shop or store front where I can come and buy your chocolates?
A: Unfortunately we've had to close down our Thursday Gift Shop, however you can order everything through our online store and have it either shipped to you or choose Local Pickup.
Q: How does Local Pickup work?
A: Local pickup is a GREAT option if you live locally or are going to be passing through Atlanta. Orders are generally ready within 24 hours and placed in our secure and climate controlled pickup spot next to our production facility. When your order is ready, you'll get an email with the code to unlock the door and grab your goodies! PLUS, you can come any time that's convenient for you, not just when we're in the production facility next door.
Q: Are your chocolates vegan?
A: Most of our goodies contain animal products, but we do have some vegan treats!
Q: What about other allergens?
A: Our kitchen contains gluten, eggs, nuts, soy and peanuts - so even if the specific chocolate you are enjoying does not contain these ingredients, we cannot guarantee that they are 100% free of cross-contamination.
Q: Are you MAKING chocolate?
A: We are not a bean-to-bar producer of chocolate. That term refers to producers who purchase an agricultural product (cacao) and create chocolate. We, on the other hand, are what the french refer to as ‘fondeur’ (one who melts) or ‘confiseur’ (confectioner): a chef who buys a range of high end chocolate and, using them, creates candies. These candies go by a lot of names: truffles, bonbons, filled chocolates - but at the end of the day they’re all delicious!
Q: How does shipping work?
A: We work really hard to ensure your chocolates get to you in the best condition possible! We only ship Monday - Wednesday, using UPS, and pack each order with ice packs inside an insulated shipping envelope. You'll get tons of emails allowing you to track your order - which usually ship out within 1 business day! To be sure your chocolates don't get left on a porch or in a mailbox, we encourage you to ship them to an address where someone will be able to receive it immediately (like an office), and always alert the recipient that they have a perishable gift coming. Unfortunately, we can't be held responsible for any product damaged after it's been delivered. For a more in-depth look at how we handle each and every online order, take a look at our Shipping page! Lastly, during the summer months we highly suggest you choose an expedited shipping speed (Next Day Air, Next Day Air Saver, or Next Day Early), as we cannot be held responsible for chocolates that melt due to shipping delays.
Q: Can you make custom chocolates?
A: We LOVE custom orders! From small parties to huge weddings or corporate meetings, chocolates make every event a little bit better, and we'd love to discuss all the customization options available. Check out our Custom Chocolates page, give us a call (or text) at 470-240-8353, or shoot us an email at: sales@jardichocolates.com
